152. Why do you think Elie Wiesel wrote this book?
In my opinion I think that Elie wrote this book because he wanted people to read what was and is going on right now around the world. Also he might have wanted to inform people that people that did survived still have bad memories and that they will never get over what happened to them.
153. Why do you think he chose Night as a title?
In my opinion I think that Elie Wiesel chose Night as his title because maybe as he survived at night he will have nightmares and he remembers everything that happened to him during the concentration camps.
154. How does Elie change as a result of his experiences in the concentration camps?
Elie change as a result of his experience in the concentration camps by him losing faith in god, he becomes stronger physical and mental because now he is alone with out family.
155. How does Elie finally come to terms with his ordeal? (What does he finally do?)
Elie finally comes to ordeal by him making and book and telling what he experienced during the moment he went to the concentration camps and until he was finally free.Also he made this book for a purpose and that was for what ever happened to him never happened again.
156. Give examples of issues in Night that still arise today and what do you think should be done about genocide?
Chad- The Chadian military, Chadian rebel groups, Sudanese militia and bandits are killing and torturing people. Chad has suffered from violence, people have been executed,woman had been raped, and destruction of burning of villages. Children are being sent to the military. These issues are similar to Night by the people raping woman, beating and torturing men,woman,andchildren.
Darfur,Sudan-African people are being displaced and mudered at the hands Janjaweed a government.400,000 poeplehave dies and displaced over 2,500,000people.5 thouand people die every month. Poor and voiceless people were the one's that started the conflict. Janjaweed militia have used rape, displacement, starvation, threats against aid workers and mass murder. Violence, disease, and displacement continue to kill thousands of innocent Darfurians every month. Darfur and Night are a like becuase they go against certain people. Also they gave people a little food so they were really skinny.
Somalia-Ethiopian soldiers, Somali civilians are the targeted people. 1800 were killed in direct violence this does nto mean that they dies from deseases.More than 330,000 Somalis are refugees in neighboring countries, while 1.3 million people are displaced within Somalia.
In my opinion I think that genocide should end becuase as humans we are suppose to get along and have respect.
